Tortuga is an island that is a pirate haven in the Caribbean.
The Curse of the Black Pearl[]
Jack Sparrow and Will Turner stole the H.M.S. Interceptor and sailed it to Tortuga. They must now find a crew and go after Barbossa and his undead crew.
Dead Man's Chest[]
Jack is now in command of the Black Pearl. But Davy Jones demands the debt to be settled by Jack serving aboard The Flying Dutchman or being sent to the locker. Jack offers to collect one hundred souls in three days for his freedom, and leaves Will on the Dutchman as a faith payment leaving him 99 more souls to go. He goes to Tortuga to find souls and he finds Elizabeth Swann Turner and James Norrington. He then leaves to go look for the Dead Man's Chest.
